Coronation After months in the planning, my coronation has so quickly come and gone! I couldn’t have done it without the help of my sister, Katie. I’m so incredibly thankful for everything she did to put this event together.
We had a great turnout of family and friends and special guests Stumptown played live music. They were amazing, as always. I’m so humbled by the support I have been shown by my home community. Emotions ran high that night. I was officially crowned Miss Rodeo Illinois.

World’s Toughest Rodeo Moline, IL Cinch and Three Hills Rodeo always puts on a great show! There was no exception for the World’s Toughest Rodeo in Moline, IL. If you didn’t already know, this rodeo is a qualifier for The American. In result, it attracted our nation’s best cowboys! I attended this rodeo with Miss Teen Rodeo Illinois 2018, Faith Robbins. We both rode in the back of a truck while they announced our bios during barrels. This was a fun and exciting rodeo to attend!

First School Visit as MRIL The first school visit as Miss Rodeo Illinois 2018 was very near and dear to my heart. I was invited to speak to the 5th graders of Hamilton Elementary School. This school visit in particular was so special because I was speaking to the peers of my nieces. I have 10 year old triplet nieces. Each one of them are very proud and very supportive of their aunt. They were able to help give my presentation to the class, as well as prompting great questions.

MRA Pageant I flew out to Las Vegas, Nevada to support Miss Rodeo Illinois 2017, Emily Westfall, at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant. This was my first time in Vegas. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. The city was breathtaking. On the first day I attended the horsemanship portion of the pageant. This was my first impression of the girls. They all looked absolutely stunning! It was very neat to see what I will be doing at the 2019 pageant. This was also my first time meeting my fellow 2018 state queens. We were all there as Lady’s in Waiting. The MRA Board set up a social for us, which was great! I will share my year with so many amazing women. We all seemed to connect very quickly. I’m so happy that I was able to attend the MRA Pageant as Lady in Waiting. It was a great start in knowing what I need to prepare for when I am competing for Miss Rodeo America 2019.

MRI Pageant The Miss Rodeo Illinois 2018 pageant was held in Palestine, IL in conjunction with the Pioneer City Rodeo. It was a busy but fun weekend! I have competed in many other rodeo queen pageants, however, this was my first 3-day pageant. Throughout the weekend we had our written test, interview, speeches, modeling, and horsemanship. During the pageant I was able to meet and spend time with the most amazing young women. We all became very close over the weekend. My dream has always been to be a rodeo queen. It’s truly a dream come true to be competing at this level. On the last day of the pageant I was crowned as Lady in Waiting for Miss Rodeo Illinois 2018. From September to December I held the title as Lady in Waiting and used that time to prepare for my year as Miss Rodeo Illinois 2018.
